Dr. O'Brien is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
After pursuing an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, in Massachusetts. She was accepted as a Fellow in Surgical Oncology at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is a Founding Fellow in Surgical Oncology.
She has worked in surgical referral centers in Los Angeles, CA and Madison, WI .
In 2004 she started her mobile practice, Orchard Road Veterinary Surgery, Inc. in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. She relocated back to Wisconsin in 2006.
Over the years ORVS has developed into a successful mobile veterinary surgical service working with more than 30 veterinary hospitals and their staff to provide surgical care to thousands of patients throughout south central Wisconsin.
